Creative outlets take many forms – music, art, dance, etc. For me, it’s exploring new concepts and building companies.
Since founding my first internet venture in October of 1995, I have been deeply immersed in the technology and venture financing industries. Some of the companies I have launched or played a material role include:
- Information Neighborhood – an internet-based grocery service company (1995-98)
- SixDegrees – the original social networking site (1998-99) {jump in the way-back machine to see the archived site}
- Rare Medium Ventures – a $220 million venture/incubator fund (1999-01)
- Improv Technologies – an early leader in development of software widget technology (2000-2002)
- Horizen Ventures – an early stage venture capital fund which is now part of Softbank China India (2004-present)
- Visentio – a concept stage company servicing the real estate industry with 3D floor plans and virtual staging (2007-08)
